An order is never exported twice by accident. After each export, each document is locked separately:
| Document | Lock |
|---|---|
| Invoice | order meta _accounting_exported |
| Payment | order meta _accounting_payment_exported |
| Credit note | refund meta _accounting_exported |
Locks are only set at the end of the export, once the file is finalised, and only for documents actually in the file. A cancelled or failed export locks nothing.
In the orders list
- An Accounting export column shows the export date (✔ and the date) or a dash; the tooltip says whether the lock comes from an export or from manual marking.
- Bulk action Unlock for accounting export: removes the locks (invoice, payment, credit notes); the order will be offered again.
- Bulk action Mark as already exported: sets a manual lock, to leave out orders already booked elsewhere.
These actions leave a note on the order (who, when).
Exporting again
- Once: untick “Exclude already exported orders” before starting the export.
- Permanently: unlock the orders with the bulk action.
Deleting an export from the history does not unlock its orders: deleting the file does not undo what has been booked.
Skipped orders
An order that no balanced entry can represent (date not found, rounding difference above 5 cents) is not locked. A notice in the admin gives their number and order numbers, with links to the logs; they are offered again at the next export once the cause is fixed.
One export at a time
A run lock prevents two simultaneous exports from processing the same order. An export started while another is running is refused; a waiting task retries 30 seconds later. A lock abandoned for more than 15 minutes is taken over automatically.
