Changelog

Version history of Accounting Export for WooCommerce, newest first.
Last updated: 11 October 2026

1.6.4

  • Rename: the plugin becomes “ZM Labs Accounting Export for WooCommerce”; its slug and text domain become zm-labs-accounting-export-for-woocommerce.
  • Unique zmlabs_aex prefix for everything global: options, actions and filters, AJAX actions, scheduled tasks, functions, the ZMLABS_AEX_REMOVE_ALL_DATA constant. The admin page becomes page=zmlabs-aex, the files folder uploads/zmlabs-aex/ and the order metadata _zmlabs_aex_*.
  • Automatic migration, once per site: settings, history, duplicate-protection locks, generated invoice numbers, the exports folder and scheduled tasks are carried over under the new names, without overwriting any existing value.
  • The setup wizard banner now only appears on the plugins list and the plugin page; the Freemius trial promotion on the dashboard is turned off.
  • Developer change: filters are renamed (for example woo_accounting_export_datev_header becomes zmlabs_aex_datev_header) and bookmarks to the old admin page no longer work.

1.6.3

  • FEC compliant with article A47 A-1 of the French tax procedure code: CompAuxNum and CompAuxLib columns, amounts with a decimal comma.
  • DATEV: invoices and credit notes including VAT, one line per sales account and per rate, no VAT line; DATEV calculates the VAT (automatic accounts 8400 / 8300 in SKR03, 4400 / 4300 in SKR04). OSS sales on 8320 / 4320 with tax key 240, the destination country and rate. 0% sales flagged in the history.
  • DATEV SKR03 and SKR04 charts: customer account 10000 (generic debtor) instead of 1400 / 1200, collective accounts that DATEV does not let you post to.
  • Xero: above 300 lines, the export is split into several files delivered in a ZIP, without cutting a journal.
  • QuickBooks: the No. column holds the entry number (an order’s invoice and payment are no longer merged); date in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • Monthly email: the attachment has the same name and extension as a download from the history.

1.6.2

  • Free and Premium versions: the free version now only contains the free code (FEC and every accounting feature); the 12 other formats and the monthly export are reserved for Premium.
  • Upgrading from free to Premium on the same site: the free version is deactivated automatically, without error.
  • Admin interface in English, translated into French, German and Dutch.
  • The plugin folder becomes accounting-export-for-woocommerce: after updating from 1.6.0, reactivate the plugin. Settings, history and locks are kept.

1.6.0

  • Free and Premium versions: FEC export stays free; the 12 other formats and the automatic monthly email export are included in the Premium plans (Solo, Pro, Agency), with a 14-day free trial.

1.5.10

  • Project renamed: Accounting Export for WooCommerce (formerly Woo Accounting Export).

1.5.9

  • Payment gateways: readable gateway name in payment entries (“Direct bank transfer” instead of “bacs”).
  • DATEV: the “Bezeichnung” header field defaults to the shop’s real name.

1.5.8

  • Two new formats: Zoho Books (manual journals import) and Holded (official template, decimal comma), served as .csv.
  • New export labels language: Spanish, used by default for Holded.
  • Tiime Expert: direct FEC import, without a dedicated format.

1.5.7

  • New Pennylane format: columns of the official template of the journal entry import module, served as .csv.
  • Cegid Loop and Pennylane: direct FEC import.

1.5.6

  • File extension matching each format: DATEV, Xero, QuickBooks and Exact Online as .csv (required by their import tools); FEC, Sage, Sage 50, EBP, Ciel and SAP FI/CO as .txt. No change to content or calculations.

1.5.5

  • Paginated preview: “Previous” and “Next” buttons, 10 entries per page.

1.5.4

  • Wide tables scroll on mobile.
  • History messages translated on display.
  • Protection against formula injection (=, +, -, @).
  • Invalid gateway fees refused and flagged.
  • Documents in a foreign currency flagged in the history and the monthly email.

1.5.3

  • Fixed label for the collective customer account.
  • Preview by complete, numbered entries.
  • Precise error messages at launch (first entry number, period, format).
  • Validation of the accounts and journals entered, keeping the previous value; back to the edited tab after saving.
  • English, German and Dutch translations completed.

1.5.2

  • Payment journal in chronological order of payment.
  • Regenerating a period after a full refund no longer removes the sale: the “Refunded” status is always exported.
  • DATEV: true Buchungsstapel format. Xero: manual journal import template.

1.5.1

  • Missing payments flagged (gateway without a treasury account), and exported when the period is run again once the account is set.
  • Wizard: a new chart replaces the VAT mapping; “Reset mappings” button.
  • Setup banner on every admin page, can be postponed by 7 days.

1.5.0

  • Whole-cent calculation: invoices with prices entered including tax are no longer skipped; balance checked to the cent.
  • An export covers documents: invoices, payments and credit notes selected at their own date and locked separately.
  • Credit notes split like the invoice; amount-only refunds spread pro rata.
  • Fix for legacy (non-HPOS) storage for the payment period.
  • The plugin is now published by ZM Labs. Developer change: the namespace moves from AgenceZM\WooAccountingExport\ to ZMLabs\WooAccountingExport\.

1.4.0

  • Setup wizard with predefined charts of accounts (France, Belgium, Germany SKR03 / SKR04, United Kingdom).
  • Background export with progress, resume, cancellation and history.
  • “Accounting export” column and bulk actions in the orders list.
  • Gateway fees and configurable document number.
  • PHP 8.0 minimum, no runtime dependency any more.

  • 1.3.3: interface translations (English, German, Dutch) and export labels language.
  • 1.3.2: clean-up and hardening after a code audit.
  • 1.3.1: additional order fees booked; FEC decimal separator fixed.
  • 1.3.0: tabbed settings page and “Settings” link in the plugins list.

  • 1.1.0: VAT mapping, payments, customer accounts, discounts, statuses, duplicate protection, credit notes, preview, monthly email export.

1.0.0

  • Initial release: multi-format accounting invoices.
