Leaving images out
To make sure some of your images are never sent (partner logos, images of a given post type…), use the safealt_skip_attachment filter: an image for which it returns true is not described.
Site Health
SafeAlt adds tests to Tools → Site Health: connection to the service, receiving results and regular processing.
Receiving results
When texts are ready, our service calls a secure address on your site (/wp-json/safealt/v1/wake, signed request). If a firewall or a security plugin blocks the REST API, allow this route.
A site that cannot be reached from the Internet (password-protected staging, intranet) still receives its results: through the WordPress scheduled task, every minute, and each time the SafeAlt screen is opened. For a low-traffic site, a system cron calling wp-cron.php ensures regular processing.
